I'd rather hear about what you're doing to position your company to survive this recession. What new marketing techniques are you implementing? What are you doing to control your company's expenses? What changes have you made? Sharing your ideas and strategies will not only make me a fan of you and your company, it will excite me and inspire me to find you a referral.
There's this silly song by Burt Bacharach where he sings " I'm never gonna stop the rain by complainin'..." So folks, the "No Whining" rule is in effect. Our energy is better spent in talking about how we can help each other.

Great! Are you talking about the song from Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid - "Raindrops keep falling on my head"? I love that song! Another great line from a Jimmy Eat World song is simply "Are you gonna live your life, standing in the back, looking around?..." We've just got to stop complaining and keep working! Thanks for your blog. :)
Yep. It's one of my favorite songs. It's the kind of song I start singing to myself when I do start to get down about something. Makes me chuckle.
One of my fave movies; "Who ARE those guys?" ... hmmmm, well, THOSE guys are us CHIP's members staying professionally persistent through this 'recession' ... anyway, maybe we should all buy some white skimmer hats.
Greetings,
Just for the record - I am actually that depressing and pessimistic most of the time. This whole economic mess generally just gave me a bit more to complain about than average!
The thing is - the optimism only leads to being unprepared and dispaointed attitude has generated a lot of unique ideas and motivated me to be prepared for, and overcome a lot of situations that would render most people inert.
The fire extinquisher would have never been invented it someone wasn't certain that another undesired fire would at some point occur.
We have to expect and know things are bad, and we have to consider what happens if they get worse. Then go invent a fire extenquisher to apply to this situation.
