Introductory Note From A New CHIPs member

As a new member of CHIPs, I'd like to say hello and to introduce myself to the current members of CHIPs
My name is Margie Gregori /President and owner of a Professional Staging Company called, MG Home Highlights, Inc.
I've been in business for over 4 years, and for the most part, I've enjoyed all the experiences that a business owner will encounter.
As I reflect on the challenges of my industry, the most difficult thing that I have had to deal with is educating the public on the benefits of Home Staging. Along with the real estate market at an all time low, and the general economy just hanging on, I've had busy periods and slow periods.
Throughout the good and the "not so good" times, I've learned that no matter who you are , where you are, or what you are doing, the most important part of owning a business, involves staying in touch with other professionals. Extending yourself in many geographical areas, and meeting professionals from all types of industries, will enhance your credibility and make you more resourceful to your clients. I believe we need others to support and to encourage us in our journeys to success.
To network, is to build trusting relationships with people who want to do business with you. It is part of our business that we can't do without.
I am so excited to have met Israel & Candy in person, as I had met them through Facebook and have enjoyed our conversations, etc.
I'd like to take a moment to add that I am looking forward to meeting more professionals @ CHIPs gatherings, and to get to know each one of you personally, so as to know how I can refer my clients to you.
I thank you for your time in reading my note and I look forward to meeting you in person at an available time.
Regards,
Margie Gregori ASPM

How To Sink Your Teeth Into CHIPs

If you think that you are on your own for the growth of your business because your small company's only employee is you, you're wrong.

Imagine running into a project that requires some work you may not be completely familiar with. Or maybe in order to complete a project you need a specialist but you don't know who to trust. If you are a member of C.H.I.P.s (Chicago Home Interior Pros), you may not have to imagine at all.

One of the advantages to C.H.I.P.s has been the ability to ask your peers for help. There have been threads asking for advice on a current project as well as asking for specialists recommendations. Not only are people getting the help they need, but their are other members getting those referrals. Bob Burg said in Endless Referrals that we are not dependent on each other nor independent of each other, but rather we are interdependent with each other. I love to see this in action.
